Microsoft is reportedly targeting more than 38 gigawatts (GW) of global data centre capacity by 2032, up from an estimated 12-15GW today, according to Bloomberg.

It's a figure that, if realised, would mark one of the largest infrastructure build-outs the industry has seen, and one that fits a pattern Data Centre Magazine has been tracking closely across Microsoft's US operations.
