The demolition of five residential buildings near Union South will pave the way for a new apartment building that could begin leasing in time for the 2027-2028 school year, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
The planned apartment building, located at 118 N. Orchard St., will be eight stories tall and contain 48 units with one- to five-bedroom units.
Madison-based developer 4 Lakes Properties expects construction to be finished next summer.
