(CNN)A record-setting 10.7 million 20-foot containers passed through the Port of Los Angeles in 2021, up 13% from the previous record set in 2018. And that pace is set to continue, according to Gene Seroka, executive director of the Port of Los Angeles. "I don`t see us falling off a cliff," Seroka said. Also, if they slow the rate that ships can anchor off port and keep them at sea longer, the perceived back-log doesn`t look so bad...but it is still there...turning a blind eye to the problem I guess, or just slow the bleeding even though you cannot stop it. | ||
